Dr. Andrea Miranda is a medical doctor specializing in gynecological oncology at the Department of Gynecology and Center of Oncological Surgery, Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. He completed his medical degree at the University Campus Bio-Medico of Rome in 2012, followed by a comprehensive residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the same institution. During his residency, Dr. Miranda received extensive training in gynecology, obstetrics, uro-gynecology, and surgical management, with a particular emphasis on gynecological oncology.
In 2020, he joined Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, where he serves as a Consultant in Gynecological Oncology and continues his clinical specialization through a fellowship program. As part of a multidisciplinary team, Dr. Miranda provides advanced surgical and medical treatment for patients with gynecological cancers, ensuring that the latest research is seamlessly integrated into patient care.
Currently pursuing a doctoral thesis at Charité, his research focuses on the “Nerve Sparing Radical Hysterectomy – Muallem Technique,” analyzing its long-term oncologic, surgical, and functional outcomes. Dr. Miranda’s scientific work is deeply rooted in his commitment to improving early diagnosis, treatment strategies, and personalized care for women with gynecological malignancies.
Actively involved in clinical and translational research, he has authored 35 peer-reviewed international publications, achieving an H-Index of 16 with over 760 citations. His contributions reflect his passion for advancing the field of gynecological oncology and enhancing patient outcomes through innovative therapeutic approaches and surgical techniques.
